Girl Guides Association Builds Leadership Skills and Human Resources for the Nation

PHNOM PENH: The General Commissioner of the Girl Guides Association of Cambodia (GGAC), Pich Chanmony, has said that joining the association provides members with knowledge, experience, life and social development, providing opportunities to work together for the benefit of society.

Speaking during a meeting with more than 300 girls at the Cambodian Children's Fund (CCF) on Sunday morning, 26 June, Pich Chanmony said that GGAC pays attention to promoting the values and participation of young girls in social development, and also trains girls, boys, all members of the association, to lead well as a team and be a good resource for the development of the country.

"All members are encouraged to be good children, good students, good citizens in accordance with the goals and missions and slogans of the Cambodian Volunteer Force for Girls and Youth," she said.

She also stated that girls at CCF will have the opportunity to receive support for their learning, knowledge, experience, studies and wider life through a network of communication, coordination and support from the association.

Scott Neeson, the Founder of CCF, thanked Pich Chanmony and the leaders of GGAC for taking care of the girls in the organization so that they can develop well in society.

The leaders of the Samdech Techo Young Volunteer Doctors Association (TYDA), with Hun Manet as the Chairman of the Board and the Girl Guides Association of Cambodia, and Pich Chanmony as the General Commissioner of the association, are dedicated to improving the well-being and lives of boys and girls in Cambodia, including through the partnership with the Cambodian Children's Fund and the provision of support for resources and materials, budget, psychotherapy and other activities.
